Meizu M8, the Chinese iPhone? Phone Looks Awfully Familiar.

While everyone is sitting around waiting for the acclaimed Apple iPhone to be released months from now, the Chinese company Meizu has come up with a phone that is strikingly similar in appearance to the iPhone - the Meizu M8 PMP/Phone.
No, pictured here isn’t the vaunted Apple iPhone, it’s a Meizu M8 … maybe. Meizu? Not exactly a household brand name next to Apple. But for what it's worth, this Chinese manufacturer does make some pretty decent, portable music/video players, seen here. Some have even managed to find their ways to overseas markets. But, not everyone is thrilled with their product, Meizu has caught some flak for what some had considered to be an outright ripoff of iPod's design, though this Shanghaiist wasn't entirely convinced: Just because it's a portable music/video player? Just because it comes in black and white? That was until yesterday. From the design of the phone, to the style of the user interface, the M8 just screams iPhone wannabe. I guess we shouldn't be surprised though, this was bound to happen sooner or later. Chinese companies are known for ripping of US designs, and often times there is very little that the US company can do to prevent them from profiting off their designs.
Some of the major differences the Meizu M8 has from theiPhone is a white case instead of black one, it runs off WinCE 6.0 instead of the Mac platform the iPhone runs off of, and it has a camera (which the iPhone does not). The dimensions of the Meizu M8 are 57x105x11.5mm. It includes a beautiful 3.3-inch (720x480 pixels) display, Bluetooth, a 3-megapixel camera, TV-out, line in/out, and video recording capabilities of 30fps at 720x480 resolution. The phone supports GSM networks and has the Chinese TD-SCDMA 3G radio.
| Technical Specifications | Apple iPhone | Meizu M8 | | Screen size | 3.5 inches | 3.3 inches | | Screen resolution | 320 by 480 | 720 by 480 | | Input method | Multi-touch | Touch Screen | | Operating system | Mac OS X | Win CE 6.0 | | Storage | 4GB or 8GB | ? | | GSM | Quad-band (MHz: 850, 900, 1800, 1900) | GSM+td-SCMA | | Wireless data | Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) + EDGE + Bluetooth 2.0 | Bluetooth + TV-Out | | CPU | ? | ARM11+ Video CODEC | | Camera | 2.0 megapixels | 3.0 megapixels + 0.3 megapixels | | Dimensions | 115 x 61 x 11.6mm | 105 x 57 x 11.5mm | | Weight | 4.8 ounces / 135 grams | ? |
There's been no word on pricing, but I am betting that it will be the iPhone prices by a long-shot. With the more common operating system and inclusion of a digital camera, the Meizu M8 may give the Apple iPhone a run for its money. Apple lawyers and executives can't be too pleased right now.

LG KE850 Slim Touchscreen Phone. IPhone and the LG KE850 Could Be Identical Twins.

Apple's iPhone may have a twin, or a doppelganger, the LG KE850.The similarities are undeniable. The LG KE850, also known as the "Prada phone" in some circles, received a Product Design Award for 2007 by International Forum Design, but don't you think it's a little too much like the Apple iPhone? Both phones eschew any sort of physical keypad, opting completely for a full touchscreen display on the front. The LG offering is a touch on the smaller side, however, as its screen is only three inches, compared to the 3.5-inches found on the iPhone. Both phones have some similarities that cannot be overlooked.
First, neither are available to the public yet, so a hands-on comparison is not possible.
It's slick, it's slim, and it's got some sort of camera on the back, megapixel count notwithstanding. Just like the hugely popular Chocolate Phone before it, the KE850 "Prada" phone is quite svelte in appearance, making use of "highly glossy black and metal texture deco" to create "a sense of luxury." And as an added bonus, it will come with a free leather case. The rest of the specs -- like whether it's got an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor too -- remains to be seen. But I'm reasonably confident that it'll do MP3s and videos. Next, both the Apple iPhone and the LG KE850 are small, slim and sleek. Both the Apple iPhone and the LG KE850 are black, at least right now.
They both have wide screens with a touchscreen interface, and no keyboard. The touchscreen interfaces themselves both have large number displays, have the same bright blue background, and look incredibly similar at a glance.
Apple iPhone
The Apple iPhone on the other hand, was unveiled at the MacWorld Expo 2007 in San Francisco earlier this week. The iPhone was in fact the big announcement of the Expo, and with the recent Cisco lawsuit continues to be at the top of the news.
LG Electronics, a pioneer in consumer electronics and mobile phones, and PRADA, one of the world?s leading brands in the luxury goods industry, unveil the first completely touch screen mobile phone. We know that the Apple iPhone has the following technical specifications, or specs:Screen size is 3.5 inchesScreen resolution is 320 by 480 at 160 ppiStorage is 4GB or 8GB
The PRADA Phone by LG (KE850) is a real breakthrough in the industry, as it is a unique, sophisticated and elegant mobile phone with the first complete advanced touch interface. The Apple iPhone runs on OS X, boasts Wi-FI, Edge and Bluetooth 2.0.Battery: talk time/video/browsing is up to five hours and includes, with an audio playback of 16 hours.
LG and PRADA have worked closely together on every aspect of the product, from handset development to marketing combining the attention to detail and uncompromising quality of PRADA design with the trademark technological innovation of LG mobile. The Apple iPhone measures 4.5 x 2.4 x 0.46 inches and weighs 4.8 ounces.
LG KE850
Unlike the Apple iPhone very little is known about the LG KE850 except that it looks like the iPhone. In fact, the technical specifications of the LG KE850 have not even been released yet. Besides some photos and the fact that the LG KE850 won the iF Product Design Award 2007, very little is actually known about the phone.
PRADA?s involvement extends beyond exterior aesthetics to the key elements of the user experience such as the advanced touch interface, ring tones, pre-loaded content, mobile phone accessories and the exclusive leather case, inspired by the classic Italian craftsmen tradition. The display screen of the LG KE850 is said to have a "resolution is as high as 240 x 400 pixels".
The LG-KE850 PRADA Phone by LG introduces the world?s first advanced touch interface which eliminates the conventional keypad making the overall usage experience a highly tactile one. An extra wide LCD screen maximizes visual impact, allowing the user to benefit from several key features of the phone, including the 2 megapixel camera featuring Schneider-Kreuznach lens, video player and document viewer capacity. Above all, these features contribute to the phone?s beautifully sleek and simplistic appearance. It appears, from poorly translated information from an originating source that the camera is 5.0 megapixels, compared to the Apple iPhone's 2.0 megapixels.
Early speculation among the gadget and tech communities is that the LG KE850, with it sleek and dark design, will be marketed and nicknamed to reflect its place in the Chocolate product line of phones.
Race to Market
With an announcement to have the iPhone available by June 2007, LG is being pretty quiet about their plans to release their similar LG KE850 phone. The iPhone will be for Cingular only, which may leave the LG KE850 to Verizon.
Glowing icons on the face of LG KE850 disappear when not in use to reveal a pure, un-adulterated black exterior. The phone is ultra thin (just 12 mm), nonetheless it hosts an array of additional multimedia functions, including an MP3 player and a music multitasking function for messaging. It also boasts an external memory slot, allowing the user to increase memory capacity for images, music and film clips. The final choice about the nearly identical phones may not be Apple versus LG, it may have more to with their current, or even available cell phone service provider.

Oral Sex in Accordance with God's Will
Oral sex consists of all the sexual activities that involve the use of the mouth, tongue, and possibly the throat, to stimulate genitalia. Since the publication of our original article on anal sex and God’s will, we have received several inquiries asking to clarify God’s position concerning oral sex. We are gratified that so many Christians are hungry for the word of the Lord and are actively seeking the Truth so that they may fulfill His plan in all areas of their lives.
The Good News About Oral Sex
Like anal sex, oral sex is the subject of much confusion and disagreement among the faithful. There are those who say that oral sex is unnatural because God did not intend our mouths to be used in such a manner. Others associate oral-genital contact with the sexual depravities of Sodom and Gomorrah. As you will see in the Scripture, neither one of these views is supported. Not only that, but oral sex has benefits that are of particular importance to Christians: oral sex allows the natural prevention of unwanted pregnancy and is an alternative to premarital intercourse for those committed to preserving their chastity before marriage.
It may be used as foreplay before intercourse, as climax of a sexual act, during or following intercourse. It is sometimes performed to the exclusion of all other forms of sexual activity. There is nothing in the Bible that forbids engaging in acts of oral-genital contact. Oral sex has wrongly been grouped in with “sodomy” and the sexual sins of Sodom and Gomorrah. As we have seen with anal sex, this argument does not hold water, because the sins of the Sodomites were specifically homosexual and/or nonconsensual in nature. There is no way this could be extrapolated to argue against a heterosexual act of oral sex for mutual pleasure. On the other hand, the Bible does contain some favorable references to oral sex, some in poetic language and some more explicit.
Oral sex may or may not include the ingestion or absorption of semen and/or vaginal fluids. Ingestion of these fluids alone, without physical mouth-to-genital contact (e.g., the extreme form of facial known as bukkake), is not considered to be oral sex -- although it remains an extreme erotic practice nevertheless. “His Fruit Was Sweet to My Taste”
In Christian discussions concerning oral sex, the Song of Solomon is most frequently cited as an example of scriptural allusion to the act:Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest, so is my beloved among the young men. In his shade I took great delight and sat down, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. (Song of Solomon 2:3)
Common slang terms for oral sex include "going down on," "giving head to," "giving a blowjob to" (male recipient), "blowing" (male recipient), "eating out" (female), "licking out" (female) or "sucking off" (male), a sexual partner. While the previous passage refers to fellatio, the following can be read as a metaphor for cunnilingus:Awake, O north wind, and come, wind of the south; make my garden breathe out fragrance, let its spices be wafted abroad. May my beloved come into his garden and eat its choice fruits! (Song of Solomon 4:16)
Fellatio describes the oral stimulation of the penis. A common technique of fellatio is to take the glans of the erect penis in the mouth while rhythmically caressing the rest of the penis with the hands; the testes and the shaft of the penis can also be licked with the tongue. Suction is often used to increase the pressure and friction exerted on the penis. As the performance of fellatio progresses, the receiver may contribute pre-ejaculatory fluid to the saliva of the giver, resulting in a more lubricated penis and enhanced erotic experience. This fluid is produced by the Cowper's glands and is not semen, although it may contain traces of sperm. And again, the Song of Solomon urges lovers to eat and drink freely of one another’s bodies: I am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved. (Song of Solomon 5:1) This reading of the scriptures portrays the act of oral sex as both natural, like eating, and a joyful expression of love, passion, and sexual sharing between a man and woman.
In the New Testament, this passage directs partners to render “benevolence” to one another, which can be extended to performing oral sex on each other as part of their duty to the Lord and one another:
Depending on the preference of the participants, this stimulation may produce an orgasm and ejaculation of semen, or may just be used as a precursor to sexual intercourse (see foreplay). If the semen is accepted into the mouth it may or may not be swallowed (hence the slang phrase, spit or swallow). Alternatively, providers of fellatio averse to receiving semen in their mouth can shift stimulation from mouth to hand once the male's orgasm is imminent. An infrequent side effect of ejaculating into the mouth is that the semen may be gagged upon. Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. (Corinthians 7:33) Not only does this passage imply that oral sex between a man and woman is acceptable and desirable, but as we shall see, the Bible also provides more specific edicts concerning the completion of the oral sex act, namely swallowing the male emission.
The Necessity of Swallowing - The Sin of Spilling Seed
Most of us are familiar with the Biblical story of Onan, whose sin against God was that of spilling his seed on the ground:
While the use of the mouth to stimulate the penis, especially the glans, is a central feature of fellatio, often the partner simultaneously stimulates the shaft of the penis with his/her hand to provide the man with the feeling of the penis being enclosed. Another technique is to have the penis head go in and out of the mouth very quickly (without going down to the shaft). Also, some men find it another extra pleasure if the giver runs the tips of his/her fingernails on his erect shaft at the same time they are using their mouth, they say it offers a "tickling sensation." And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. 10 And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also. (Genesis 38:9) This scriptural passage has traditionally been used as an injunction against masturbation. However, upon closer reading, it becomes apparent that this scenario has nothing to do with masturbation at all. Onan was not masturbating; he was copulating with his brother’s wife (and there was a good reason for that, in God’s plan). His sin was pulling out (coitus interruptus) and ejaculating on the ground rather than into the woman. He did so in order to avoid impregnating her. However, he could have easily avoided God’s wrath (and the penalty of death), by simply having the woman fellate him and then swallow his semen. This would have kept him from impregnating her, as well as completely prevented the spilling of seed that was an offense in God’s eyes.
One form of fellatio is known as deep throating. This technique involves repressing the gag reflex and taking the entire erect penis in the mouth, the shaft bending slightly to allow the head of the penis to slide partially down the throat of the fellator. A deep throat session may even go 'balls-deep', a colloquial expression denoting that the provider of fellatio has fit the entire penis in their mouth, with deeper engorgement prevented only by the girth of the testicles. The extreme case of Onan aside, how bad is it in general to spill semen? The Old Testament ranks it with other acts of uncleanliness that meet with God’s disapproval: And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even. 17 And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even. (Leviticus 15:16-17) Getting ejaculate on oneself or one’s clothing results in uncleanness that requires extensive reparations and atonement. Obviously one simple way to prevent the spillage of semen is to have your partner perform fellatio and swallow the emission. In fact, in light of these scriptures, performing fellatio to completion and then spitting out the resulting emission seems almost unthinkable.
Cunnilingus is the act of using the mouth and tongue to stimulate the female genitals, especially the clitoris. The term comes from an alternative Latin word for the vulva (cunnus) and from the Latin word for tongue (lingua). Less than one-third of women orgasm easily during the actual act of intercourse. Masturbation and cunnilingus are alternative ways for women to achieve orgasm with a partner. Most women can orgasm easily during clitoral or pubic area stimulation. The Benefits of Swallowing - Drink of the Living Water
Aside from swallowing semen as a measure to prevent the waste and spillage of seed, ingesting ejaculate can have spiritual benefits, as we will see. Although the Old Testament makes reference to the bitterness of semen (And he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water. [Numbers 5:24]), the New Testament casts the act of consuming ejaculate in a much more affirming light, as in the following passage, where Jesus speaks to the woman of Samaria about the gift of “living water”:
As in all human sexual behaviour, the variety of techniques in cunnilingus and individual responses to them are almost endless. As always, communication, experimentation and practice are the best way to learn how to please a particular partner. Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, "Give me a drink,' you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water." 11 The woman said to him, "Sir, you have no bucket, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water?...15 The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water, so that I may never be thirsty or have to keep coming here to draw water." 16 Jesus said to her, "Go, call your husband, and come back." (John 4:10-16)
The clitoris is the most sensitive part for almost all women, but may be too sensitive to stimulate directly at times, especially in early stages of arousal, and it is often best to begin with a gentler, less focused stimulation of the labia and the whole genital area. Tongue tip, blade or underside can be used, as can the nose, chin, lips and teeth (with caution). Movements can be slow or fast, regular or erratic, firm or soft as the moment requires. The tongue can be inserted into the vagina, either stiffened or moving. Humming to cause vibration while performing cunnilingus is often considered to be especially arousing, with certain pitches, rhythms or tunes thought to be particularly effective by different people. “Living water” in this context refers to semen, which literally is the liquid of life. As Christ indicates, drinking of the “living water” provides a spiritual replenishment for the soul. When the woman asks Jesus where she can get this “water”, he tells her to fetch her husband, clearly with the intention of instructing her on how to fellate him and swallow his semen.
Oral Sex in ChristIn summary, we can say that the Scripture supports and even encourages the act of oral sex between loving heterosexual partners. Moreover, the Bible specifically encourages fellatio to completion (orgasm) with the female partner consuming or swallowing the ejaculate. This prevents spilling seed, which is an affront to the Lord, and also provides spiritual benefit to the receiving partner. Oral sex has the added benefits of preventing unwanted pregnancies and helping couples satisfy their sexual urges while preserving their chastity until marriage. For these reasons, all Christian men and women should feel confident and comfortable including oral sex as part of their sexual life in accordance with God’s will.
