The Six Psalms
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will towards men (thrice).O Lord, Thou shalt open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Thy praise (twice).
Psalm 3 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise against me. Many one there be that say of my soul, There is no help for him in his God. But Thou, 0 Lord, art my defender; Thou art my worship, and the lifter up of my head. I did call upon the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. I laid me down and slept, and rose up again; for the Lord sustained me. I will not be afraid for ten Thousands of the people, that have set themselves against me round about. Up, Lord, and help me, 0 my God! For Thou smitest all mine enemies upon the cheek-bone; Thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly. Salvation belongeth unto the Lord; and Thy blessing is upon Thy people. I laid me down and slept, and rose up again; for the Lord sustained me. Psalm 37
Put me not to rebuke, 0 Lord, in Thine anger; neither chasten me in Thy heavy displeasure. For Thine arrows stick fast in me, and Thy hand press-eth me sore. There is no health in my flesh, because of Thy displeasure; neither is there any rest in my bones, by reason of my sin. For my wickednesses are gone over my head, and are like a sore burden, too heavy for me to bear. My wounds stink, and are corrupt, through my foolishness. I am brought into so great trouble and misery, that I go mourning all the day long. For my loins are filled with a sore disease, and there is no whole part in my body. I am feeble and sore smitten; I have roared for the very disquietness of my heart. Lord, Thou knowest all my desire; and my groaning is not hid from Thee. My heart panteth, my strength hath failed me, and the sight of mine eyes is gone from me. My lovers and my neighbours did stand looking upon my trouble, and my kinsmen stood afar off. They also that sought after my life laid snares for me; and they that went about to do me evil talked of wickedness, and imagined deceit all the day long. As for me, I was like a deaf man, and heard not; and as one that is dumb, who doth not open his mouth. I became even as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs. For in Thee, 0 Lord, have I put my trust; Thou shalt answer for me, 0 Lord my God. I have required that they, even mine enemies, should not triumph over me; for when myfootslipt, they rejoiced greatly against me. And I truly am set in the plague, and my heaviness is ever in my sight. For I will confess my wickedness, and be sorry for my sin. But mine enemies live, and are mighty; and they that hate me wrongfully are many in number. They also that reward evil for good are against me; because I follow the thing that good is. Forsake me not; 0 Lord my God; be not Thou far from me. Haste Thee to Kelp me, 0 Lord God of my salvation.
Psalm 62 0 God, Thou art my God; early will I seek Thee. My soul thirsteth for Thee; my flesh also longeth after Thee, in a barren and dry land where no water is. Thus have I looked for Thee in holiness, that I might behold Thy power and glory. For Thy loving-kindness is better than the life itself: my lips shall praise Thee. As long as I live will I magnify Thee in this manner, and lift up my hands in Thy Name. My soul shall be satisfied, even as it were with marrow and fatness, when my mouth praiseth Thee with joyful lips. Have I not remembered Thee in my bed, and Thought upon Thee when I was waking? Because Thou hast been my helper; therefore under the shadow of Thy wings will I rejoice. My soul hangeth upon Thee; Thy right hand hath upholden me. These also that seek the hurt of my soul, they shall go under the earth. Let them fall upon the edge of the sword, that they may be a portion for foxes. But the King shall rejoice in God; all they also that swear by him shall be commended; for the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped. In the night watches have I trusted in Thee: For Thou hast been my helper, and under the shadow of Thy wings will I rejoice. My soul cleaveth unto Thee: and Thy right hand shall uphold me. Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: both now and for ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, glory to Thee, o God (thrice, without bows).
Psalm 87 0 Lord God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before Thee: Olet my prayer enter into Thy presence, incline Thine ear unto my calling; for my soul is full of trouble, and my life draweth nigh unto hell. I am counted as one of them that go down into the pit, and I have been even as a man that hath no strength. Free among the dead, like unto them that are wounded, and lie in the grave, who are out of remembrance, and are cut away from Thy hand. Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in a place of darkness, and in the deep. Thine indignation lieth hard upon me, and Thou hast vexed me with all Thy storms. Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me, and made me to be abhorred of them. I am so fast in prison that I cannot get forth. My sight faileth for very trouble; Lord, I have called daily upon Thee, I have stretched forth rny hands unto Thee. Dost Thou show wonders among the dead? or shall the dead rise up again, and praise tliee? Shall Thy loving-kindness be showed in the grave? or Thy faithfulness in destruction? Shall Thy wondrous works be known in the dark? and Thy righteousness in the land where all things are forgotten? Unto Thee have I cried, 0 Lord; and early shall my prayer come before Thee. Lord, why abhorrest Thou my soul, and hidest Thou Thy face from me? I am in misery, and like unto him that is at the point to die; even from my youth up Thy terrors have I suffered with a troubled mind. Thy wrathful displeasure gosth over me, and the fear of Thee hath undone me. They came round about me daily like water, and compassed me together on every side. My lovers and friends hast Thou put away from me, and hid mine acquaintance out of my sight. 0 Lord God of my salvation I have cried day and night before Thee: 0 let mv prayer enter into Thy presence, incline Thine ear unto my calling.
Psalm 102 Praise the Lord, 0 my soul; and all that is within me, praise his holy Name. Praise the Lord, 0 my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all Thy sin, and healeth all Thine infirmities; who saveth Thy life from destruction, and crowneth Thee with mercy and loving-kindness; who satis-fieth Thy mouth with good things, making Thee young and lusty as an eagle. The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all them that are oppressed with wrong. He showed his ways unto Moses, his works unto the children of Israel. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy, long-suffering, and of great goodness. He will not alway be chiding; neither keepeth he his anger forever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our wickednesses. For look how high the heaven is in comparison of the earth; so great is his mercy also toward them that fear him. Look how wide also the east is from the west: so far hath he set our sins from us. Yea, like as a father pitieth his own children; even so is the Lord merciful unto them that fear him. For he knoweth whereof we are made;-he remem-bereth that we are but dust. The days of man are but as grass; for he flourisheth as a flower of the field. For as soon as the wind goeth over it, it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. But the merciful goodness of the Lord endureth for ever and ever upon them that fear him; and his righteousness upon children's children; even upon such as keep his covenant, and think upon his commandments to do them. The Lord hath prepared his seat in heaven, and his kingdom ruleth over all. 0 praise the Lord, ye angels of his, ye that excel in strength; ye that fulfil his commandment and hearken unto the voice of his word, 0 praise the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye servants of his that do his pleasure. 0 speak good of the Lord, all ye works of his, in all places of his dominion: praise Thou the Lord, 0 my soul. In all places of his dominion, praise Thou the Lord, 0 my soul.
Psalm142 Hear my prayer, 0 Lord, and consider my desire; hearken unto me for Thy truth and righteousness' sake. And enter not into judgment with Thy servant; for in Thy sight shall no man living be justified. For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath laid me in the darkness, as the men that have been long dead. Therefore is my spirit vexed within me, and my heart within me is desolate. Yet do I remember the time past: I muse upon all Thy works; yea, I exercise myself in the works of Thy hands. I stretch forth my hands unto Thee; my soul gaspeth unto Thee as a thirsty land. Hear me, 0 Lord, and that soon; for my spirit waxeth faint: hide not Thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit. 0 let me hear Thy loving-kindness betimes in the morning; for in Thee is my trust: show Thou me the way that I should walk in; for I lift up my soul unto Thee. Deliver me, 0 Lord, from mine enemies; for I flee unto Thee to hide me. Teach me to do the thing that pleaseth Thee; for Thou art my God: let Thy loving Spirit lead me forth into the land of righteousness. Quicken me, 0 Lord, for Thy Name's sake: and for Thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble. And of Thy goodness slay mine enemies, and destroy all them that vex my soul; for I am Thy servant. Hearken unto me in Thy righteousness, 0 Lord, and enter not into judgment with Thy servant. (Twice.) Thy gracious spirit shall direct my paths upon earth. Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now, and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen. Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: both now and for ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, glory to Thee, o God (thrice, without bows). Content

History of Roulette
Black Jack RouletteRoulette is one of the oldest and most popular games played in modern casinos. A small spinning ball every day attracts thousands of fortune believers. Only luck helps you to win roulette - there are no and can not be the strategies which allow you to beat a roulette mathematically. It is a very simple game to be profitable.
History of Roulette
Roulette is a French word meaning "small wheel". There are several interesting legends about roulette origin.
According to the first, Blaise Pascal tried to find the perpetual motion. He engineered a device in a form of a big wheel for his experiments. One of his friends had a good idea to use this device for gambling.
Another mystic legend tells about Francois Blanc who founded the first casinos in Monte Carlo. They say he sold a soul to devil for the secret of roulette. If you don't believe, please sum all the wheel numbers; total is 666.
Roulette in the layout we see it today appeared in 1765 in Paris. French emigrants imported this game into USA and the first American casino appeared in New Orleans in 1800. In 1861, a casino was opened in Monaco that became the capital of gambling business after the ban of casino in Europe in 1873.
Now, every casino in the world has a roulette wheel. Roulette is popular because it is simple, easy to play, exciting and thrilling.
Roulette Rules Roulette consists of a wheel, a small ball and a table marked with separate boxes containing numbers from 0 to 36. Players can place bets on any particular number or a set of numbers. Once the bets have been completed, the wheel starts spinning and a small ball is released on to the wheel in the opposite direction of the spinning wheel. The ball stops in one of the numbers and all players who had bet on it win.
| Bet | Description | | Even Odd | Bet placed on fields "even" or "odd" and covers 18 numbers.Zero is not covered. | | Red Black | Bet placed on fields "red" or "black" and covers 18 numbers.Zero is not covered. | | High Low | Bet placed on fields "1-18" or "19-36" and covers 18numbers. | | Dozen | Bet placed on fields "1st 12", "2nd 12", or "3rd12" and covers 12 numbers. | | Column | Bet placed on field at the end of vertical column and covers all columns(12 numbers). Zero is not covered. | | Six-Line | Bet placed on the end of line between two rows. Bet covers the 6 numbers intwo adjacent rows. | | Corner | Bet placed on the common point of four adjacent numbers and covers allof them. | | Street | Bet placed on the end of row and covers this row (3 numbers). | | Split | Bet placed between two numbers and covers them. | | Straight | Bet placed on single number field and covers only one. |
There are two basic kinds of roulette such as French with only one zero and American with double zero (0, 00).
French Roulette The wheel of French roulette consists of 37 numbers from 0 to 36. The next table contains the indexes of every natural bet.
| Bet | Win | Probability | Player edge | | Even Odd | 1 | 18/37 | 48.65% | -1/37 | -2.703% | | Red Black | 1 | 18/37 | 48.65% | -1/37 | -2.703% | | High Low | 1 | 18/37 | 48.65% | -1/37 | -2.703% | | Dozen | 2 | 12/37 | 32.43% | -1/37 | -2.703% | | Column | 2 | 12/37 | 32.43% | -1/37 | -2.703% | | Six-Line | 5 | 06/37 | 16.22% | -1/37 | -2.703% | | Corner | 8 | 04/37 | 10.81% | -1/37 | -2.703% | | Street | 11 | 03/37 | 08.11% | -1/37 | -2.703% | | Split | 17 | 02/37 | 05.41% | -1/37 | -2.703% | | Straight | 35 | 01/37 | 02.70% | -1/37 | -2.703% |
You can see that a player loses about 2.703% of his money on any bet. It is clear that any composite bet has the same expected result. Let's see, for example, the following popular call bets:
| | Voisins de Zero | Tier | Orphelins | Zero Spiel | | Bet size, chips | 9 | 6 | 5 | 4 | | Covered numbers | 17 | 12 | 8 | 7 | | Win probability | 45.95% | 32.43% | 24.32% | 18.92% | | Average win | 111.76% | 200.00% | 300.00% | 414.29% | | Player edge | -2.703% | -2.703% | -2.703% | -2.703% |
Some casinos have the next attractive rule. Once the wheel stops on zero the players lose only half on any even money bet. It increases the player edge to -1/74 (-1.35%), but still casino has the advantage.
American Roulette The most obvious difference between French and American roulette is the game table layout and, of course, the odds! The American roulette has additional zero signed "00" The location of the numbers on the roulette wheels in the French and American games differs also. The next table contains the indexes of natural bets:
| Bet | Win | Probability | Result | | Even Odd | 1 | 18/38 | 47.37% | -2/38 | -5.263% | | Red Black | 1 | 18/38 | 47.37% | -2/38 | -5.263% | | High Low | 1 | 18/38 | 47.37% | -2/38 | -5.263% | | Dozen | 2 | 12/38 | 31.58% | -2/38 | -5.263% | | Column | 2 | 12/38 | 31.58% | -2/38 | -5.263% | | Six-Line | 5 | 6/38 | 15.79% | -2/38 | -5.263% | | Corner | 8 | 4/38 | 10.53% | -2/38 | -5.263% | | Street | 11 | 3/38 | 7.89% | -2/38 | -5.263% | | Split | 17 | 2/38 | 5.26% | -2/38 | -5.263% | | Straight | 35 | 1/38 | 2.63% | -2/38 | -5.263% | | 0-00-1-2-3 | 6 | 5/38 | 13.16% | -3/38 | -7.895% |
You can see that player lose 5.263% of wagered money on any bet. The special bet "0-00-1-2-3" has a player edge -7.895%! Hence, the American roulette is at least two times worse than French is. It is a very nice way for casinos to add only one zero and with it to increase their income twice!
Betting Systems There are thousands of money management systems in roulette game. Every lucky gambler declares that his system ensure a profit. It is no so. There is no way to make guaranteed profit from mathematically detrimental game. It is the same problem as with the perpetual motion. If you use any money system or don't use any, your expected loss is always about 2.703% of total wagered money (at French roulette) in a long playing time. For example, see the analysis of most famous money management system Martingale.
There is an old anecdote to conclude with. Once a great physicist Albert Einstein was asked : "Does on your opinion any roulette system ensure the 100% win?" "Yes. I know one - to steal chips from the table when the dealer does not see it", the scientist answered. Content

Mini-sub pulls through aerospace technology.BAE systems leads with Talisman at undersea defence technology Europe.
World First Unmanned Underwater Vehicle Launched
Talisman, the BAE Systems' developed unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV), has achieved its latest capability breakthrough, by becoming the first UUV to successfully fire and control weapons at sea during trials off the South Coast of England.
A new kind of mini-sub that can roam close to the world's shorelines without the need for a crew and with little risk of detection, has been created by engineers working at BAE Systems in the UK.
The Talisman, UUV (unmanned underwater vehicle), builds on recently unveiled 'black' unmanned air vehicle (UAV) programmes developed by BAE Systems engineers in the Air Systems business. Talisman is on display at the Farnborough International Air Show, alongside one of the autonomous UAVs from which it pulls through aerospace technology.
The first remote sea launch of the Archerfish mine disposal system from Talisman was successfully completed during the trials, witnessed by a US Navy delegation. The mine neutraliser then acquired Talisman with the subsequent simulation of target eradication. In another deployment, also from the Talisman UUV, Archerfish successfully identified and acquired BAE Systems' versatile exercise mine system (VEMS) demonstrating the extensive capability of the two combined products.

The development of Talisman has been hailed as an example of BAE Systems approach to rapid prototyping, a process that involves design, development and testing to take place concurrently, rather than the more traditional linear development process. It is a core requirement of the UK Ministry of Defence's Defence Industrial Strategy (DIS) and the recently announced Defence Technology Strategy.
The fully autonomous unmanned mini-sub, called Talisman, can be re-programmed mid-mission by satellite from thousands of miles away and features composite carbon-fibre hull giving it a stealth-like profile and very low observability. The stealthy hull design was based on developments made at the BAE Systems' aircraft manufacturing facility in Samlesbury, north-west England, which is home to the UK production work on the F-35 JSF and Typhoon programmes. Talisman can carry a wide variety of payloads, from image capture through environmental sensors to mine counter measures.
"Rapid prototyping is a culture where you achieve 90% of the solution at 10% of the cost – and do it quickly. We have leveraged best practice from across BAE Systems to move from programme sign off to in-water trials in 364 days. Traditionally this would have taken about five years," explained UUV project manager, Andy Tonge.
Engineers from across BAE Systems joined forces to create Talisman, completing the concept demonstrator project in just nine months compared with a typical development cycle which is measured in years rather than months.
"Talisman is an example of how rapid prototyping can enable industry to respond far more effectively to customer requirements."
Talisman was launched earlier this year and has already generated significant interest in the military, civil and commercial sectors. Several successful trials have already taken place in the Irish Sea near Barrow in northwest England, with a 100% success rate.
Developed by BAE Systems Underwater Systems business, Talisman is the world's first attack multi-role UUV with the proven ability to deploy multiple weapon and communication payloads. The integration of Archerfish also makes it the first fully autonomous mine countermeasure (MCM) system.

BAE Systems is the premier transatlantic defence and aerospace company delivering a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, information technology solutions and customer support services.
Ian Muldowney, BAE Systems' Air Systems Programme Manager for Talisman, said: "Talisman is an excellent showcase of the new capabilities that can now be demonstrated by BAE Systems - capabilities which build on sharing technology across the company's business sectors and on rapid engineering techniques which mean fast-track cost-effective delivery for the customer."
With 88,000 employees worldwide, BAE Systems' sales exceeded 12 billion pounds (US22 billion dollars) in 2005, excluding the Group's former interest in Airbus.

?Engineers from throughout the military aircraft production business worked on this project in supporting the BAE Systems Underwater Systems group. They can be proud of what they have delivered. This is world-leading technology developed right here in the UK.?
This will be the first time that BAE Systems will be demonstrating Talisman in the international market since the system was launched at Oceanology International earlier this year. The Talisman System, designed, developed and manufactured by BAE Systems in the UK, is a latest-generation modular multi-role UUV, capable of a wide range of maritime littoral operations. It will be linked with Nautis, the latest generation Mine Countermeasures Command & Control System designed to combat the increasing threat posed by ever more sophisticated mines. BAE Systems will be displaying the Submarine Command System Next Generation (SMCS NG) - the latest evolution of the highly successful SMCS which is now at sea in all the Royal Navy?s submarines. SMCS NG has now been successfully installed in six of the eleven submarines that are going to receive it. SMCS NG transfers the applications proven on earlier variants of SMCS to a new open system architecture that uses COTS PCs to provide the computer processing with Windows as the software operating system. The design includes a new console and draws heavily on developments made by BAE Systems Integrated System Technologies (Insyte) for the combat management systems for the Astute class submarine and the Type 45 destroyer. SMCS NG software is delivered in a single ?all-fits? release that configures itself for the combat system of each particular submarine. BAE Systems will be giving two papers at the UDT exhibition: ?Open Systems Vs. Open Source in Defence Systems?, presented by Peter Hammond on Tuesday 27 June at 12.30. This paper will describe the issues in developing against an open source requirement for a recent MoD project, and how these challenges were overcome by using an Open System Architecture approach. In an Open System Architecture the system is decomposed into small, well-defined units with clear interfaces. Each component fitting into the architecture may be a traditional closed-source product, or may be open source. Providing the interfaces are well designed, the customer has flexibility in replacing and reusing components, while militarily or commercially sensitive intellectual property is still protected. This paper will describe the advantages and disadvantages of such an approach, and explore what is required of an interface to be ?Open? The second paper is ?Environmental Impact Assessment for the Royal Navy? presented by Ian Thomas on Wednesday 28 June at 2.00pm. Ian Thomas will give an overview of how this new approach to an environmental impact assessment is undertaken both in process and methodology, and how the work by key academics from the Sea Mammal Research Unit (SMRU) and Centre for Research into Ecological and Environmental Modelling (CREEM) extends current methodology. He also discuss how the software tool is being designed to meet the legislative and MoD Policy requirements as well as utilising current environmental and biological data.
